Re: how many of those who have FI cars has not blown motor (zojirushi)
I'm on my 2nd engine, with one rebuild on my first, but the first failure was due to hydrolocking and the second, I believe, was due to improper rod bearing clearances after the first rebuild. Never blown my engine due to boost. I do think I took out a head gasket and possibly a ring land because of the turbo when I had really poor fuel management. I've been turbo for a year and a half minus a few months downtime, 6-9 psi on a stock internal GSR.

No not really.....one factor I left out....
5600 ft above sea level.
it's pretty much equvilant to 7-8psi down there.

Re: how many of those who have FI cars has not blown motor (booster)
I put about 8000 miles on my JRSC setup on my old Civic Si. I ran it at 6 psi for awhile and then 8 psi for about 2000 of those miles. It made about 215 whp when I finished tuning it. It still read 215psi across all 4 cylinders about a week before I sold the car.

Re: how many of those who have FI cars has not blown motor (DSF)
I have had 3 turbo motor and all of them came out of my car in running condition. The resound I replace them was for upgrading resounds. First engine was a ZC 6-8 psi for over one year. Then I had a B18A for more then a year. The valve seals where causing it to smoke and I found a B18B for 300 bucks so I bough it and put that in my car. Been about 1 year since I put that in running 9 psi TD04H, 8 psi T3/T4

Had it running for 6 months on FMU, now two months on Zdyne.
231,000 miles on original headgasket.
That is called tuning!!

I think roughly, after the fuel pump was wired correctly and I boosted... roughly... off the top of my head.... about 15 seconds until she blew..
(fmu fuel line popped off under 14psi boost)

Re: how many of those who have FI cars has not blown motor (GSRwBOOST)
Started boosting 1 year ago at 88k miles. Now she's at 107k miles and last I checked compression (about a week ago), it was still at the factory 180-190psi accross the board
