i have 94K on my ls motor and it's been turbocharged for 15k already and its still runnning strong.. how long have you guys been boosting on your stock motors?

I cracked my pistons the first night i installed my turbo kit. But i think it had to do with to much beer , too much foot!!! and not enough fuel. Now im running 10 psi with 450 dsm's and a smc+ and she is running strong.

Did mine and had it professionally tuned and have had no problem what so ever. (7psi) 99 SI Drag kit, Jotech tuned, 12.9 @109mph full interior. . A friend of mine on the other had was turbo and self tuned (92 HB w/LS swap, 13.3 @ 106mph) and blew it 3-4 months later (6psi). Put in a new longblock, upgraded to better quality parts (still the same small turbo, still 6 psi) and blew it the second night it was on the road.

Moral to this story.........GET IT TUNED RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!

Car has been running for almost 2 years with greddy turbo kit @ 10 psi. I boost very rarely on the street, but then again, I attend an autocross event every month and drive the crap out of my car.

hopefully mine will last, its been 3 days already. 150k on motor, good compression. 6psi, fmu and walbro pump setup in t3 w/ fmic. see at least full 6psi once or twice a day.
