How long has your stock turbo GSR held up?
How long have you been running your stock turbo b18c1, what boost, fuel management, etc...
I've had mine a week so far without any problems uberdata powering 450cc injectors, at 7psi of boost

1100 miles, 4 weeks! lol
Cracked ring lands from shity wideband signal reporting rich when I was wicked lean. Didnt know I had damage. Went on 400 mile trip, burned oil (but not visable) oil starvation, and spun a rod bearing.
Now I have an oil pressure gauge, a new wideband and a fully built 2.0L GSR motor.

after the turbo was on and running... about 15 seconds (then a fuel line popped off under boost, instant lean and 2and 3 cracked ringlands.

Wow, we're not doin so good here! I was boosting 3 days without my wideband and I was wicked lean too.. but now I'm at a health 12:1, or so my PLX M300 says I'm hoping to go two more years on this setup without blowing her, we shall see, I was just curious how long other have made it

Re: (aznballer)
9 months but I do have forged pistons, stock rods.
10psi 281 whp, 181 tq, best time 13.3 (97 Civic Coupe) on shitty stock honda tires. Drive like mad daily.
I don't have any problems at all except I recently got a hole in my oil pan gasket from bad PCV, I'm putting in a catch can tonight.

'98 stock gsr, few bolt ons with greddy kit (18g). RAN real strong until a vaccum hose popped off at 6000 rpms and the boost went from 10 psi. to 22.5 psi.. needless to say i broke the ringlands on #3 piston. now it just pushes oil out the valve cover port. I'm in the process of putting together another motor. I had no detentation at 10 psi with the blue box, and the engine ran super strong for what it was dynoed 238 whp. & 191 ft.lb... just that it went to 22 psi on stock pistons is what killed it oh well as they say "you have pay to play"...

Re: How long has your stock turbo GSR held up? (black98gsr-t)
Hopefuly others can learn from our bad experiences and avoid disasters. As you can see most of us aren't doing stupid **** like running 30psi on a stock motor with a FMU and a narrow band blinky gauge. Its just honest accidents that lead to disaster. And it doesnt take much to destroy something when your under load, only a matter of seconds!
black98gsr-t - Should've gotten a Muckman Kit. Make sure all important vaccuum lines (Map sensor, FPR/FMU, Wastegates) are secured with at least zip ties or hose clamps!
GSRwBOOST - Which fuel hose poped off? I thought all the fuel hoses had fittings on the end.

since may, and 3000 miles, just got it tuned the last week of july, it throws a cel everyday, but it still pulls hard, 109,300 miles, at 7psi 233 whp and 168 ft.lb so all in all okay but little problems here and there, like the damn CEL oh IL where at?

Now we're doing a little better I'm trying to avoid any mistakes, but like stated, most of the problems are stupid things you can't really expect... Well, I hope I can get it to last a couple more years until I graduate and buy myself a nice daily driver so this car can be promoted to project car

I'm new to the turbo game and I was wondering why all these hoses are popping off? And what does it have to do with a stock GSR motor?

Turbo'ed for 2.5 months on 6.5 psi, no major problems, small oil leak, bolts coming loose. Then upped the bost to 11psi and I blew the engine in 2 weeks. Cracked sleeve # 3 and every ringland on every piston....

About 1-1/2 months now, roughly 3000 miles. 5.5psi on Greddy kit tuned with Hondata made 212whp. On ~7.5psi it made 232whp. One track day at Summit Point.
No major issues as of this point, just a few minor things.
