Default How to identify if my Turbonetics is ball or journal bearing

So I received a turbonetics turbo today as part of a trade, it needs a rebuild. I don't know how to identify if its a ball or journal bearing.

My understanding is you cannot rebuild the BB turbos... you need to buy a new center cartridge. The BB turbos are both water and oil cooled.

some water cooled turbochargers are not from the GT-R series, like the T-series converted turbochargers that have a water-oil cooled section

I would do that, but I don't know what I'm looking for...I have never ripped apart a turbo before.
