I plan to upgrade soon from my current s200. Mase has tuned a few s300 cars and seems to like it. So does my local tuner. The system may have a few issues but I think the Pros outweigh the Cons.

only issue I heard of (which caused me to stay with my S200B) is that it has/had a hard time holding a tune with big (greater than say 750cc) injectors

Not true. I've heard of problems when people run big applications like 1600cc injectors and what not. Many many people use 750cc while tuning with hondata. But I always say - if you're building a drag car - go with a standalone - not a piggy back.

Re: how good is the hondata s300? (The Weather Man)
I have the S200, and S300.
let me tell you this. if the tuner knows how to use it there are no problems AT ALL.
i've had tuners and shops tell me its garbage this, that, and the other. but i had mase come down, and he had a choice between the S200, and the S300, and he said S300 hands down. he had the car running better than it ever was with just a street tune, then we put it on the dyno, 35 minutes later he was done. and the car purrs like a stock SOHC at idle.
