How far can the Greddy turbo manifold be ported out before it will crack easily???
just wondering if anyone has ported out the cast iron Greddy manifold and if so how much do you recommend before it will crack too easily??? I really want to port out the manifold a bit and the elbow downpipe section because it looks so restrictive......anyone ported one out before? Can it be ported out at all or will it be too weak if it's ported to withstand daily driven heat cycles??
BTW this is for the 92-95 or the 96-00 civic turbo kit (same manifold) thanks! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |

yeah...I've looked through the runners and they seem like they can be ported a bit..I still want to keep the velocity up, it just seems they can use some porting out...at least the elbow needs to be ported..it is horribly small and poorly designed.
This will be my 3rd Greddy kit LOL...(don't ask) |

I know that I have seen Miata owners port their cast GReddy manifolds with success, but they usually cut them in half and have them welded back together. Scary if you ask me, lol. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif
