How do you run no gasket on a tial??

Default How do you run no gasket on a tial??

Like the topic says.. ok guys heres the problem my car wasnt boosting at all so i pulled the wastegate off and theres a little gap the things from where the spring puses down isnt closing all the way.. theres a litle gap..Now i see everyone buys the fire rings,but alot of people say they dont use them so how do you get it to seal??
I was gonna use the copper gasket sealer but would that really help???

PLease let me know

mine just bolts down. i dont use the gasket. if your bolts are too long, get shorter bolts

stan at inline pro told us to run no gasket and use studs instead of bolts

do you ahve the tial ring installed in the wg it self. Its little ring that comes with the tial if that is not there you not gonna be boosting.

Well thats not the problem i dont have a gasket at all,not even the one that goes in the wastegate to seal it ... can i use copper gasket to seal it or can i buy a gasket somewhere???

see the ring on the left side do you have that installed if you dont it will never work. You need one of those if you need one let me know

Sounds like its the ring, evene with an exhaust leak you shoudl still see boost depending on how big of a leak, from your post seems like your seeing no boost. Take the wastegate out and check for the ring!

i had no ring at one point, would make max boost still bt loud for such a small leak, make sure the smaller side of the ring goes into the bottom of the WG an dhammer it in softly, taht should solve your problem of "leaking" and i use bolts and nuts for my flange and never had a problem with them loosening
