yea stock look is nice, if i did it again i would prolly go that route.

spinning sucks. i mean the only way i pull on people is from like a 30 roll.

*****-foot on the throttle, but dont go too light, or youll fall out of boost. OUnt know, works for me. Of course I havent driven a car worthy enough to spin the tires in about a month, so

if you start spinning, either hold the throttle steady, or lightly let off. The optimal traction point while still accelerating is with a SLIGHT, i meant a ****-hair SLIGHT spin. THis keeps everything moving just perfectly.
I think I learned how to drive by living through 16 years of Northern Michigan winters. You learn to drive REAL quick when you let the clutch out at idle, and spin because of snow and ice
My first and only time at the track on shitty street tires, I yielded a 1.95 60ft, 9.04 1/8th, and 84mph trap.
Take your car out with wet roads and practice. When you get to dry roads after workin on this, youll notice a HUGE improvement

No, Traverse City. Still snowbelt area though. We have a cabin up in Seney...they get snow a month earlier, and it stays two months longer up there! Its insane.
We have a 12 ft deck coming off the side of the house, and one winter you could pretty much step right off the top of it. That was intense(that was 95-96, worst winter in YEARS).

I have brand new Azenis and spin through first and second. First will break lose around 6000 RPMs and will continue to sping the whole second gear, I'm not even tuned yet The best thing I found to do is when shifting to second do a slow shift and let the RPMs drop a lot and go light on the throttle till I'm pretty confident the tires are going to stick. Second breaks lose at the top of the gear too but not bad enough that I feel I'm losing any speed.

After I tune I plan on hooking up the remote switch to my Profec B and switching from 5PSI to 9PSI after second gear.

yeah, 1st gear is meaningless for me. I dunno-- I feel that I just have to suck it up, and wait til the top end to gain my power.

well i run 15lbs of boost, So in first so it grips than when i spool up at the top it breaks lose, but grips 2nd and 3rd and so on. Running lower boost it would not break lose in first.

Don't even let me start about high boost and normal street tires, No traction till 3rd

Did you lower the pressure in your front tyres at all? If not then do this when at the strip launch at like 3000rpms then just hold the throttle down half way you will spin but hook up after awhile I go through first with my foot only 3/4 the way down for best results . Other then that an LSD will help a lot.

well i don't have turbo. but with my b20z i don't have 1st and 2nd gear(if i stomp on the gas)! when i line up. i keep it at around 2800 rpm. and when it's time to go. i feather the gas and let off the clutch nice and easy. then when i go into second. i do the same. until i know i'm not going to spin! then i stomp on the gas and bang into 3rd! like 95% of the time i beat the other car off the line this way. so then they got to play catch-up !
