I have a 84mm ls vtec setup, with a 62-1 and im trying to connect my wideband so i can start the tuning process.

The are four different wires that i need to wire up. RED, BLACK, BLUE, WHITE.

So i know that RED goes to the battery ( positive).
I also know that black is ground.

Now my question is where do i wire up the BLUE and WHITE to?

Mike,

Wire the ground directly to the battery.
Concerning the 12v make sure to get it off a clean source.

Concerning the blue wire, you probably wont use it.
Concerning the white wire, just run it to your ecu and leave it there for your tuner to wire it into which ever input he wants to use for logging etc..

are you logging your AFR through your EMS? if not, then you wont use either of those 2 wires.

And just to know what is the purpose of the BLUE wire?

i was thinking about running the RED wire to the power source of my radio. Should i do that or should i run it directly to the battery?

Run the red to a 12v switched power source. If you do not have the uego ecu then you'll tie in your aem input wire to d14 on any obd1 ecu.

beware if you are using the 30-2301 because some people have said either shortening or lengthenonn the actual wideband cables would cause inaccurate readings. (this applies to the o2 sensor cables only)

If you are using an AEM ems then after connected to the ecu disconect the sensor from the controller. at this point the wideband should be puting out a straight 4 volts (doube check that figure) then yu adjust the gain in the ems until it sees the 4 volts that the eugo controller is putting out.

what switched power source do you recomend for the RED wire? Should i run the RED wire Directly the the positive on the battery?

i appreciate your help. i want this to be as clean and simple as possible.

Im using an obd1 p28. ANd the AEM UEGO part number is 30-4100. Its the Guage type wideband.

the car is a 92 civic hatchback.

NO! if you run the red wire to the battery the wideband will be on all the time, even when your not driving the car. you need to ground the black wire, the red wire needs to go to a power source that is only on when the key is on.

wire the white wire into the ecu if your management has the capability to dattalog AFR. if it doesnt, than your install is done.

The white wire is the 5v signal output. It goes to the ecu, primary O2 sensor pin. It can be configured for wideband or narrow band calibration, depending on which ecu your using. The blue wire is for serial output to log the sensor with a 3rd party app to log the sensor.

Connect the red wire to the switched ignition power from the cabin fuse box.
Black is ground obviously.
Doesnt the manual explain all this?

the manual says any 12v power with a 10amp fuse.

damn man sounds like you should swing by your local shop and have them put it in for you. the red wire goes to any switch 12v source. there is probably 3035 differnt options on that.

I dont feel like looking for my test light and saudering (spelling) iron.
