how do i find if there is a boost leak in my car?
i was curious if i had a leak somewhere in my whole system. the car runs but i was told there might be a leak thats why i may not be hitting boost target.

Aproximately how much psi are you losing? You can cap off the piping after the turbo, install an air fitting and add air pressure to see if there is a leak somewhere....you follow?

well my tuner says im not able to get past 6.5lb of boost. i have an internal wastegate with a 5lb actuator.
the boost controller is at 70%
he said to see if im leaking somewhere.

Do As the guy said before. Block of the piping before the turbo put an air fitting on the pipe by the throttle body and compress air in. Be careful because if you have no leaks the piece you had blocking off the turbo might go flying lol

What kind of piping/couplers do you have? And intercooler? Some ebay cores are so cheap and not even pressure tested after being assembled.

i have the fmic from greddy. and the pips and couplers are of high quality. nothing is from ebay.
i wanted to use high quality stuff to avoid this kinda of issues.
im also leaning towards a bad actuator.

I had boost leaks before get your self a pcv piping cap like 2.5 in same size as you compressor get t bolt clamps on all the piping/couplers.. Screw in a compressor fitting in that 2.5 cap and hook up you electric compressor to it regulate it to what you want go 10 psi 15psi 20psi 25psi 30psi that what my charge lines can hold 30Psi its alot... I found all of my leaks dont let other tell you 10-15 will find all the leaks no it wont because i tested mine to 10-15psi then + and there are more leaks... I even had a leak on the tps gasket... For 25-30psi..
