Default how do I check atmospheric pressure? motorola 2.5 bar map sensor...

I had my car turbocharged by a shop, and they installed the moto 2.5 bar map.

so I was installing a wideband, and I accidentally disconnected the map sensor. I plugged it back in, but the wrong way.

It's supposed to be white black red open (the harness has 4 openings w/ the 3 wires in it)

so it's......... white black red open
.......... . ........1.......2.......3.......4
I plug'd ....... open red black white .. ... I flipped the harness and connected it wrong.

Now my car once connected properly turns on idles at like 2k, slowly drops and once it drops to like 1100rpm the check engine light comes on and the car dies.

so mtber from phearable.net said to check the atmospheric pressure on the signal wire and the volts once I connect it properly, which Ive it connected properly.''

how do I check the atmospheric pressure?

help please.

yeah, I know that. Everything is properly plugged in, but the car doesn't want to run.

none of the shops had one. In the mean time, I am trying to wire back up my factory map sensor.

I'm ******* stuck. It's running like ****.

I cut off the connector for the map from a 93 civic.

The wires on there don't match the wires I have coming out of my factory harness.

why dont you order a gm back sensor? usually theyll come with the pigtail.

If not, go get a gm 3 bar map sensor from a chevy or something dealership.

this is what it's like

the white/red/black is the harness wire provided by xenocron

the other side is the factory 99 integra map wiring.

I ran the wires from this harness (the white/red/black one) to a new connector I was able to cut off a 93 civic. The wires on the civic connector do not match my integra wires.

I am not running a gm 3 bar because when I bought the moto I figured 3 bar was overkill. Secondly, I can't really switch to a 3 bar map because I can't tune the ecu myself. I don't have an ostrich for the crome I'm tuned on. Secondly, I am not sure I want to buy the ostrich, I'll probably just go w/ neptune rtp.

So now I"m trying to atleast wire the factory map sensor back on and see if it runs. I rewired it, but I don't know if it is properly rewired. It's running like ****, idling really low, and ******* rich.

So your ecu maps have been changed to accept the 2.5bar MAP? If not, you can't just plug it in and make it work, the ecu will think a given pressure is different from what it really is. In other words, a 2.5bar on a 1.75bar tune will think idle (22 Hg") is really at higher vacuum than it is (like 25-26 Hg"), meaning it gives it much less fuel (~30% less), not enough to idle. Conversely, if you use a 1.75bar on a 2.5bar tune, it will think its at less vacuum than it really is, dumping more fuel (~42% more) than it should. It will also run the improper ignition timing, which just adds to the problem.

To check the sensor, at least for ~1000mbar, turn the ignition on, then test the voltage from the sensor - a 2.5bar should be ~1.75 volts with 5v input, or a bit less if the battery/input voltage is below the normal amount. One wire is +5vdc input, one is 0vdc ground, the 3rd is the 0-5vdc output.
