how did you like your 60shot???
when you first got introduced to nitrous and went for a 50-60shot to start off with, howd you like it? 60 shot seems enough and still stay conservative.
lets hear the outcomes/experiences?

Re: how did you like you're 60shot??? (mk2)
When I got my liscense this year I hooked up a 65 shot to my ZC for some kick
It defientely was very fun and made my car A LOT quicker, almost 2 seconds off of my 1/4 mile
But then you get into bottle refills and if you race enough or play around on your own it gets expensive and you think
"I wish I could have this power all of the time"
And thats where Im at, building the **** out of a SOHC with a 4K budget and going with a big boost setup (16-18psi on 10:1 compression) shooting for 300+whp
If you dont race a lot and just want something for stoplights and some highway fun then nitrous is definetely kick ***
But when your at the races 4 times a week and drive like a fruit loop I think a turbo setup is much better (and way more expensive I might add)
Good luck

you might need a bigger fuel pump with nitrous.. i can get a Zex dry kit for 200 bucks and i'm thinking about it.. but then i'm thinking about the turbo kit i'm going to piece together..

Started with an 80 shot and never looked back. People got to learn how to set **** up correctly and not follow the honda-tech myth that nitrous is bad, cheating, and 100% going to blow your egnine. Ive done soo much with nitrous on honda's its a joke. You have to be a real ****** moron to blow an engine on nitrous. Granted a gas noid can fail at anytime and a n20 noid can stick at anytime, but im not talking about that.
Keep sprayin and up those jets!!! Up Up Up!

I sold my nitrous kit after about the 10th bottle fill. Keeping the bottle warm and filling it got really, really old. I wanted to be able to pull onto an onramp and romp on it if I want to and have all that power, not just when I flick a switch.

Re: (b16coupe)
going turbo right now. If it sucks and i dont like it or whatever. Definately selling the kit and buy a direct port and spraying no less than a 100shot on my b18c...
Traction is FUN when you get 100hp and 100trq in a split second. I sprayed at 4k at 60mph(roughly) in 3rd gear, once it hit it started spinning the tires HARD. ***** a riot, fun at the track too with traction. if you have an auto bottle heater and a gauge and moniter that ish, keeping the bottle warm is 1-2-3. Only thing, is gauging how much useable nitrous you have left in the bottle. Thats what pissed me off the most. I would allow for 8 full passes, then i can feel the power fall off. AKA time for a refill. With v8's running 200-250hp jets,(which i dont know who would want to do that ) basically 2, MAYBE 3 full 1/4 runs and its refill time. Yes there will be some juice left over, but its not very useable and will not be as effective as the first, second, and third n20 pass...

i have a GSR motor with a plate NOS system on it. made 220 whp (60 hp to the wheels off nitrous). I hate breakin loose soo easy in top of 2nd. I dont even bother in 1st unless im slicked down. Nitrous is not dangrous. I love nitrous. Not too much to worry about as compared to a turbo'd car (I cant afford a turbo car to be honest lol). I went 12.9 on bone stock motor on 60 shot well tuned. Im re-doing the head and gettin better valves and some nice cams and more nitrous to get in the low 12s at palmdale. After Im gonna have to go turbo. I hate having to refill bottles and keeping it warm. I dont have a bottle warmer so what i do before going to the races i put it in the bath tub full of hot water then mount it up lol. Cheap way buddy! But so far, no problems 5th motor ive ran nitrous on and its still fun.

Re: (sheepeg3)
BUY A damn NX auto heater. They are like 110$
If you are going with a ported head and better cams,,, ditch the POS stock intake mani please. and run a 80 shot also. You'll thank me for it.

Re: (mk2)
on a Bseries I think I might even try a 100 shot on stock internals
I was personally planning this motor for a 175 shot 2 stage (D16a6) but instead just swapped in some 9.5:1 instead of my 10.5:1 pistons and am going turbo, powers always there and can scare people with the Turbo XS RFL BOV
