how detrimental is it to mount a turbo at an angle?
what i'm referring to is like mounting the compressor side higher than the turbine, mounting the turbo at an angle off the manifold. how detrimental would that be to draining oil and the turbo? it would be about 35-40 degrees maximum.

30 is about the absolute MAX you can go without oil drain problems. I don't like going past 15 or 20. At 40 degrees the oil won't drain well, back up in the turbo, and ruin the seals.

did you actually do that math?
30* varies depending on lengths and heights...
just finding pic that says 30 degeress doesnt mean it is actually a scale 30* drawing

true. I was using it as a rough estimate. Take out your protractor and measure it for me, will ya? picky pick picky. I have a math degree, leave me alone.
