just trim the bumper from behind, and keep on taking the bumper on and off until it fits...

Re: (TURBO B)
You mean the factory grille plastic part? Why do you want to keep it? It looks alot better w/o it.
But if you MUST have it on...why not just cut it out, and epoxy it further out? I'm pretty sure the FMIC is close to the bumper itself, if not resting right up on it huh?

Re: (98CTRCoupe)
Move intercooler farther back towards radiator, no directly under bumper support. I have a 97 civ coupe and got it to fit with extremely minimul cutting. Nothing you can see when the bumper is on.

Re: (TURBO B)
I recently fit a larger PWR intercooler under my oem front bumper cover. I swear ti took at least 12-16 times taking the bumber off and putting it back on before it fit the way I wanted. I retained the lower grill structures and my core fits nice and tight inside the cover. If you only tried twice.....give it a few more shots you will get it to fit the way you want, it just takes alittle time.
Besides leaving the lower grill structure gives somthing to support he grill covering I'm gonna use to hide the core.

Re: (TURBO B)
slant it:
that's what I did and the bumper fits perfect. The only thing you may want to do is modify(a slight diagonal cut) the end of the tube connecting to your compressor outlet, this will allow the tubing to sit higher after slanting the intercooler.

Re: (TURBO B)
Here is another pic:
Sorry, I did cut the black material from behind the bumper. So, there is no material left in there really. I think it would be pretty difficult to have that in there and have an intercooler. Here is a pic of my front:

Re: how can i keep my grill with a drag intercooler (maxpsi)
yep, looks just like mine did before I slanted the I/C and brought the piping up about 1-1.5".by making a diag. cut on the end of the I/C pipe connecting to the turbo.

so you modified the piping that connects to the turbo? exactly what all did you have to do?
