you can get a custom 3" made but that is going to be loud too unless you put some resonators in there

I have the EVO too and I know thats its too small. If you dont want thermal try a magnaflow with custom piping. A 3" will also help increase your torque.

TypeC how is you evo that big? custom? i just love the sound of it, it sounds really quality and not the typical rice sound. I have friends with the thermal and its just nasty. I would hate to take a road trip in it. With my evo i can get up to 65mph and the car is almost silent even without the cat. Ok heres the problem i kinda have.... I took an old stock downpipe flange ( the one that hooks to the cat and then i welded it to the drag down pipe for a clean look... well i measureed the stock flange and its far smaller than 2inchs its closer to 1 1/2inchs crazy. so my setup is drag3 down pipe, stock honda flange, 2 1.2 test pipe, 2 1/2 greddy evo/ so how bad do you guys think that honda flange is holding me back? i think im just gonna cut it of a throw on a flex pipe. anymore info would be great. thanks for all the help guys!!!!

It's the Greddy EVO for my WRX. 3.14". It came with those two huge resonators, so it keeps things quiet. I also got rid of two (still have one left before the turbo) cats, and it's still pretty quiet. then again, the boxer motor always sound different than an I4 (kinda like an M3 exhaust note, sorta).
