Default Hood clearance problems with Tial 35mm w.g on Drag manifo

My hood on my 92 Civic Si is going to hit my Tial wastegate. Just curious to know if anybody had the same problem and what did you do to fix it.

Damn search engine is freakin' broke!!

Call or email Ben at importparts.com. He's got a 90 degree elbow for the wastegate on your application. I just bought one. It lays the wastegate on it's side towards the PS pump.

You'll have to make a new dump tube though...

Tom, thanks for the help buddy. How much did it run you and how long did it take to get it?

Has anyone found a shorter 90 degree vacuum nipple for the top of the 35mm TIAL?

I went to Earls' and they supposedly don't have anything.

(Also, I have a Brand New TIAL for sale...check signature.)

You can goto home depot and use their 90 degree fitting. Its bronze and doesn't match with the color of the Tial. OR you can do what I did (Get a 90 Degree Pipe and get 2 flanges welded to it. Costs about $15 for each flange and $15 for the pipe and $20 to weld):

Thanks for the input.

I have tried that "Home Depot" style brass fitting before. It is slightly shorter than the Tial banjo bolt but not significantly.

My downpipe is not setup for the 90 degree flange and I am too lazy to reweld it.

Someone must make a low profile vacuum nipple...

with the 90 degree elbow my hood is hitting the top bolt on the wastegate but i'm still able to shut hood. Maybe it won't when i get my new carbon hood.

Its an inline pro manifold. I was able to keep the A/C. As for the fans, I only have 1 fan which is adequate...I dont use my A/C though.
