So what problems are you currently having? I have tuned a few cars recently with this system with no problems, but I like to keep tabs on what problems to watch for.. I also tune the Neptune systems as well..

Re: Hondata S300 = Crap... (locash)
the tempature compensation doesnt work with large injectors and the program changes by itself loading maps........
They kind of fixed the problem with the aftermarket map sensors...but how the hell do you release a engine management system that doesnt work with large injecotrs and 3 bar map sensors ..... I mean come on

What was wrong with the S200? Mine seems to work fine.

First of all - you're full of ****. I've had absolutely no problems with the s300. Did you download the LATEST software? At first they had problems - after complaints they released software to fix everything.
Don't start a thread like this downing hondata - thats not cool at all. Just talk to them personally to encourage them to come out with software to correct the problem.
My hondata s300 is perfect.
They probably delete your posts because you make stupid *** posts like this. This is NO way to come at them. They work their asses off to make this.
I purchased mine, plugged it in - and have had no problems at all.
Try downloading the latest software from their site - maybe it'll work. If not, something's wrong with YOUR hondata or YOUR tuning.

Everyone had the same problems as me....they took weeks to fix the major ones while my car sat in the garage and their customer service sucked

Microsoft comes to mind My Xbox 360 dies last night.
The problems you point out were "suppose" to have been fixed in a recent release. Can anyone else with the S300 confirm they were fixed? I don't have it so I can't test it.
On a side note, it took well over a year for Hondata to fix the O2 CEL problem in the S200 Romeditor 3 software.

Same here. It's rare, but the CEL still comes on every now and then on deceleration.
Good thing I'm refusing the buy the 360 for at least 6 months so problems can get worked out. Sucks to hear man.

no issues with s200 here. My tuner said he did a couple s300's and didn't have any issues but i'm hesitant to upgrade after reading all the complaints. Does the hardware use any firmware for upgrades or is upgrading the rom software really all that matters?
In regards to the 02 cell I had that problem while decelerating on my s200 but it was only while in open loop. Now that I run closed loop except at wot I haven't seen it since.

It fixed it for me but I am pretty sure this is because my laptop is hooked up all the time.

That doesn't happen with me. I've had no problems datalogging - and i don't get CELs.
The only problem i had is downloading FROM the ecu - it displays a warning telling you not to - but i did it once because i deleted my calibration file on accident. It came up, but the fuel tables were screwed. But who cares.

Re: (TheKINGPin)
I almost bought the s300 when it came out, but I was definately afraid something like this would happen. I'm in in the process of trying to sell my s200 so I can get the AEM. I never had a problem with my s200 or hondata customer serviceI just need something a little more now.

They work their asses off to MAKE MONEY. Just because they don't like reponses from a customer who is talking about problems... doesn't mean they should just delete posts and ignore it.
Paying what is paid for the Hondata system... it shouldn't use the market as its testing ground.
That is what the free systems do, because they are FREE... and everyone helps everyone else there.
When you PAY for something... the format is drastically different.

It can't even DL from itself? Thats kinda goofy... even the freeware stuff can do that
I'll admit... I'm a freeware user and have helped do some testing. I love giving back, because the guys making the software are giving so much. When I run off my Ostrich... I have a clean UL/DL and all. Ive gotten so much, for so little... and I didn't pay to be a guinea pig; I offered to be.

Re: Hondata S300 = Crap... (D@nnY)
I tuned a civic with s300 a month ago. the car had a gm 3bar and precision 1000cc injectors, the car started up and ran fine just like a s200 just no chip bs. the base map worked fine. are you sure the s300 does not have issues? The customer I tuned has had no complaints. If the program seems to change by itself I would check your usb port , also check to make sure there is no issue with your touch pad I had a laptop that would corrupt maps because of the touch pad, as soon as we switched laptops no more problems....
