Hondata releases S100
Available immediately is the S100.
This is a lower priced system that fits completely internal to the ECU and is available in two versions with and without boost. The S100 starts from $245 for the NA version and $445 for the boosted version.
This product is aimed at people who want only tuning and do not need the extras such as 3 step and datalogging etc, but want a streetable fully tuned system. Anyone with ROM Editor 3.0 can tune the S100
The entry level S200 includes the 3 Step as standard and sells for $420. There is an upgrade available for s100 owners to S200 system.
For more information visit http://www.hondata.com/s100.html
Idle Fix
An idle issue related to water temperature has been fixed. If you are a stage 4 owner or S200 owner with ROM Editor 3 and have not recieved an email about the update, contact us with your serial number to be put on the mailing list for futire updates.
ROM Editor 3.0.11 is available for download for S200 owners from the Hondata dealer section. If you do not have a login and password, call Brisa to arrange access. The idle fix has been incorporated into version 3.0.11. It is recommended that all Rom Editor 3 owners upgrade to this version.

Re: Hondata releases S100 (B18Flip)
The S100 replaces the base S200.
The S200 with 3 step for $420 is now the entry level S200. This was previously price for the base S200 plus 3 step.
OBD 0 is still supported with the older stage 2/3 systems. The S100, like the S200 will not work in the OBD 0.

Re: Hondata releases S100 (SilverLudeSi)
that's just great
we get a system with less features than the s200 for the same price as the s200 used to be, and just the same time you raise s200 prices by $200.
i guess you can do whatever you want though because people will still buy it.
at least we knew you were going to raise prices... but we didn't know by how much.
sorry... it just seems pretty shady to me.

Re: Hondata releases S100 (SilverLudeSi)
Can you give more details on the "idle fix"?
On previous systems, a bug in the hondata system caused over fueling at start up with larger injectors. I assume this has been fixed Doug/Derek?

Re: Hondata releases S100 (sutrusu)
Sutrusu: It might be a good idea to carefully read the web site and Hondata posts.
The base S200 N/A sold for $295. The S100 N/A sells for $245. It sells for less because costs less to make. It does not cost the same, it costs less. And you can upgrade it later if you wish.
Since the release of Hondata products in the USA the entry level system has dropped from $345 to $295 to $245.
This system was developed as a result of requests by dealers for a system that would fit completely internal to the ECU and for users who only wanted tuning.
Previously the base S200 system was $295 and the three step option $125 making a total of $420. That option is now included as standard and the entry level price for the s200 is now $420.
So to get started you can get a S100 for $245 and upgrade to an S200 later, or you can start with an S200 with three step for $420 which is only $175 more.
OBD II support. We do state on our web site that the 96-98 OBD II ECU costs about $200 every time you want to make a change, making an OBD I swap economical after a few reprograms. 99-2000 ECUs we have no internal information on and cannot get blank chips for. If we could these would also cost about $200 per reprogram.
Groovytune: If you have an S200 system with ROM Editor 3 you can tune S100 systems
John: Starting fuel adjustment was added almost 2 years ago. You should be able to tune the cranking fuel to suit any sized injector.

What is this crap?
Re: Hondata releases S100 (sutrusu)
dude. s200 was that cheap before. now they raised the price and made one as cheap as s200 used to be but with less features.
Sorry Doug, people are just different on this side of the equator.

Re: Hondata releases S100 (falconGSR)
maybe i'm missing something, but this is what i understand
hondata s200 with boost was going to cost me $430 shipped at one point.
now it has a feature that i dont need, and will cost me $200 more.
instead, i can now get a hondata s100 with less features and no box for a little bit less than i used to be able to get the s200 for.
how is that looking at the world in a funny way?
