5 bar, you would have 58 psi of boost. and 14.5 psi of vac.

it can be measured in which ever way u want. but when u break it down, map sensor read negative and positive pressure. you hear the term 3 bar. well that reads 1 bar of negative pressure (vac) and 2 of positive (up to 29 psi).

I would like them to upgrade to 5 bar also...I went up to 27psi last time on the dyno...If not I will have to move on to something better.

i was told the 5bar will work with Hondata, but they said if you have issues with it, they wont support it.

if you do a quick little bit of math, you can modify the MAP scale of a 3bar MAP to work with a 5bar sensor. remember, MAP sensors are essentially linear beasts... Algebra... or even just fractions

matt from hondata told me yes it will hold a 5 bar but u can map it or some **** like that after u max out the 3bar
the reason i wantthe 5 bar because my turbo and others still running a hondata there and my turbo wont wake up and make good power till after 27psi actuall up here or 32psi in lower atomoshere so mase if u have ran a 5 bar please inform or anyone that has inside connection with hondat please kick them in the *** and get them to please work on this for us and put the kpro down for a dew and just finish and refine what they started

if not there are a bunch bout to go to NEPTUNE

Who are these people maxing out 3 bar MAP sensors? What turbo do you have that doesnt get efficient until 27psi?! Time to think about a different turbo?

I'll agree but I doubt those guys are using Hondata, I'm sure they are using something like MOTEC, FAST, DFI gen 7, AUTRONIC, blah blah....

Also, doesn't hondata have a limit to 1000cc injectors? (I could be wrong tho)

why would u go with a diffrent comuter if u go with big numbers thats why they need to step up and take care there **** and they wont loose good customers like good sfwd racers and others the system is a great system just needs to be tweaked some thats it

I love Hondata. I talked to Doug at SEMA about the 5bar and they DO have plans to upgrade the software to display the right values sometime in the 05'... In the meantime we just have to convert it ourselves Its not that hard really.

btw, neptune also gets a from me. I really wanna get a chance to use this system, but I can't tell what the heck is going on at all about the distribution of it.

I am maxxed out on the 3 bar as well. I like the Hondata due to the fact that it is basically plug and play and virtually everyone tunes it. I have strongly considered going to F.A.S.T. or Autotronic but if Hondata came out with 5 bar support I wouldn't even consider switching management sytems. The way it looks right now I "could" make more power after 28 psi but replacing the whole harness to accomidate a new system doesn't seem like much fun right now.
