Hondata LS turbo Lean spike! thoughts??
For some reason to the high rpm ranges, around 5800rpm my obd2 car with hondata seemes to get a lean spike. but then comes back down to stoich. its all gravy till it hits that point. Any theories?
current possible solutions we have done but not tested yet:
installed walbro in-tank fuel pump and removed the stock one with the msd in line fuel pump.
got all the vac lines shortened for efficiency of them. Made them so they weren't extra long or anything.
Had valves adjusted.

1) The DSM injectors may be causeing this problem, as they are known to sometime run very inconsistantly
2) Try tuning the issue out...You have a fully programmable ECU, it should not be too hard to find exactly where more fuel needs to be added.

Re: Hondata LS turbo Lean spike! thoughts?? (Spunkster)
I am sitting right now on this comp with my car on the dynojet. we have it tuned decently right now except for that spike. at 5K its fine and then at 6 k it is at a peak spike of 14.5 but then comes back down. As of right now we have Elite and Payn technologies trying to solve this. Any thoughts from HT would be greatly appreciated here. The injectors seem to be ok cause if they were bad why would they only spike at one RPM? We even threw a lot of fuel at the 6K mark to see if that did anything and it didn't.

Anyone? Well now we are down to guessing about the fuel delivery stuff.
There is a walbro in-tank fuel pump as well right now.
Gonna go change the fuel filter to see if that does anything. It probably wont but its just another thing to chalk off the list of what might be an issue.

Nothing special yet. Last season we made 231.4HP with 204 lb ft on 9psi. All stock motor LS with drag gen 3 and some other misc stuff. S-AFC to tune.
Now it is a built LS, 1.9L with hondata. lower compression and we hit 200 on PSI with not even tuning it yet. We jsut were getting the AF curvers into safe areas first. Today we will go tune crazy and get some numbers. todays goal is 300HP to the wheels on pump. 400HP to the wheels on race gas.

You should never be stoich on a boosted car. You need to be rich. what are ur a/f's being tuned too?

don;t need to convert anything other than the harness.
Found a boost leak as well. Fixed that and now we have found that my exhaust is too restrictive.
What will be up for sale is a 2.5" Downpipe, and the 2.5 test pipe and connection flex to a greddy Evo cat back exhaust. I need a 3" downpipe and 3" from there all the way back.
