Default Hondata, lowers prices

Just here to inform everyone that i recently went to the hondata website and saw that they had lowered their prices. Just letting everyone know if you didin't know. I believe the prices are the same as the group buy that just went on.

Cool, 2B is $5 cheaper than SGTs GB. I was pissed I missed it, but o well. I guess good things really do come to those who wait.

that's cool. Hey, does it really matter that the 2B doesn't come with the shift light or push button?

Doesn't matter to me. I have an Autometer shift light and a MSD 3 step rev limiter

I just found that out yesterday when I went to the Hondata website! I was pretty happy to see the lower prices. I also noticed that they updated their site a little, they made it more informative to what exactly Hondata is. The first time I went to the site at the begaining of fall or so, I cound't hardly figure out what it did.

I plan on 2b, but it doesnt include the button or the shift light anymore. I can get by without the light, but what about the button, what is the significance of it?

The button allows you to change vtec and rev limits. But also, the rom editor will allow you to set a fixed rev limit and vtec point so maybe that's what will happen. THe 2b users may not be able to adjust vtec or rev limit without burning a new chip. I emailed hondata about this so i'll let you guys know when i find out.

I have the 2B and have been playing with the VTEC and rev limit. No new ROM needs to be burned.

O.k., I found a store that would sell me the Hondata 2B with datalogging shipped for $755. The problem is that he says, "This is for the Hondata hardware only with a base program. You will also need p28 and jumper harness." I'm getting the obd2-obd1 harness convertor and drive a 98 gsr. Do I need anything else to install? And is this what normally comes with the Hondata 2B?

I'm still ignorant in this section but doesn't the 98 gsr have one of these in it? Not sure which one though.

Thanks, I guess I'll be looking for a P72 in the classifieds section unless someone has one I can buy here. Do I need to get one that is chipped or unchipped?
