Hondata discontinues the s200 system as of January 4th 2008.
Ref: http://www.hondata.com
"The s200 has been discontinued as of January 4th 2008. Now only s100s and s300s will be offered."
It was honestly pointless to sell the s200 system anymore in my opinion.
The s300 system is a much better system for the money.

The s100 system is sold for people that don't want to spend the money on s300 nor want the features it has. The s100 system can only be tuned by a tuner with hondata romeditor & a fully loaded s200 system (A dealer).
The s100 system is primarely for the guy that doesn't want the fancy s300 features & has some one else tuning his car.

Re: (mtber)
this makes me wonder if I should go to the s300 for my setup over the s200 w/b and the p28 I have now. thing is I really dont need the boost control features and I dont tune myself, only real benefit of going to it is the air temp corrections (since the software update for the s200 had the configureable map sensor range and whatnot).

Re: (twkdCD595)
we STRONGLY encourage everybody to use S300 or switch to S300 if they have a 100/200. i dont think we have sold a 200 since the 300 came out. ironically we sell a ton of S100's to the guys that have us tune them and they never touch it again. for that we tune using a master s200 so we can dattalog etc.
i wish every hondata car was s300

Romeditor v4 for s200 has almost all of the same features as s300.
Make sure your tuner has the latest s200/s100 romeditor

We had a very small amount of s200 sales. Some people wanted a cheaper way to use hondata with a launch control etc.

Re: (mtber)
I bought my s200 back quite some time before there was ever a mention of the s300... and ever since the s300 has come out I considered upgrading. mostly for the added map sensor choices, gear correction, iat correction, and coolant temp corrections now featured (which some of now you can do with the new software update for the s200).
It has served me well so far and the s200 will be a good option for those on a budget.

Re: (Turbo-charged)
i saw this coming for some time, was just waiting to see when it was gonna really happen.
S300s are a ton less crap laying around the car like your emulator/blue box/cables for both etc.
the 100s are a very economical way of getting your car tuned and having the "hondata" software.
S300s are outstanding, i am making the switch to the 300 in my racecar right now. and am going to be using the boost by gear feature.
thanks for the info john, been off the net for a few days

Very true. The only plus it had was for someone NA that wanted 2step/datalogging. If they wanted the boost option they would always end up shelling out the extra $100 and get the better s300 unit.
I can count on 2 hands the number of s200 units I have sold.... however... I do sell a lot of the s100b's though which are mainly for the 'budget' guys. The discontinuation of the s200 to me is really no big deal... it just means less having to hook emulators up and burning chips.
