Default Hondata=hpr gains????

I'm currently running the JRSC kit, with a dc header and aem cai.

I haven't dyno'd my car yet but I was just wondering for those of you who are using the hondata system, are the gains sufficient enough for the price of the money????

What kind of gain should I expect to get after tunning my car from the 2b system?

Just to add to above...it would be going in a 00 ITR.

with the good standalone as hondata you can gain some nice pwr proably 30-40hp if you can tune your powerband

not to mention the 'peace of mind reliability' a tuned hondata unit can give you

I think its more important to get a standalone for safety purposes (tuning a proper A/F and timing) and driveability (prevent or limit tip in detonation for the supercharger) rather than hp gains.

I totally agree with the posts above. I didnt get hondata to gain more whp, but rather to have a piece of mind. Safty is and will always be my main concern. Why would I want more whp anyway?

I have a '99 Si with a greddy kit. When i went to the dyno, i pulled 203whp with stock boost and the untuned hondata base-map that came with my hondata setup. Comparitively, most people using the Greddy fuel management pulled only 170-180whp when starting out. I agree with the others, you shoudl be able to get ~30whp from a hondata, because jackson racing's fuel management pretty-much sucks

No, the JR fuel system doesn't pretty much suck...it flat sucks. The system for the ITR is a joke. http://www.geocities.com/superchargedtyper

Same here, I don't have my Hondata setup yet, nor has my turbo been put in, but I got the Hondata for peace of mind and to make it realible so I can beat on it all year round, in the summer, and in the winter.
The extra HP is kind of like a bonus.
