Default hondalogger vs mech water temp gauge????

I just got done installing my autometer mech water temp gauge and decided to do a compare with my hondalogger. It seems that the gauges are on average 20 degrees off. My autometer says I'm at 170 and my hondalogger says 190-193. I have my sensor tapped in the hose coming off here. Maybe I should try tapping the sensor somewhere else?

yes 170 is low, your hondalogger seems more accurate. Normal operating temp is 190-195.

yea...maybe i have to move the sensor. but where I have it feeds right off the water neck. but the other end goes to the throttle body. Maybe I'll tap into the top rad. hose
