honda + vgt turbo + banks controller, possible?
I was reading about this the other day and wondering if anyone who isn't an oem engineer has adapted this technology to an aftermarket application, like a honda yet. http://www.bankspower.com/side...t.cfm
Or, can this turbo be controlled using an output from something like the aem ems? I doubt the banks unit is user programmable.
I know some people might say that the holset vgt isn't intended for a high egt application like a gas motor, but when banks was testing their diesel tuner/programmer vs the competition, they were seeing egts as high as 1800deg from some of the competition. I don't know if the vgt can take 1800, but that's significantly higher than a gas honda. My honda never went over 1400, less under boost.
