HKS turbo timers on a honda

HKS turbo timers on a honda
is there a honda harness available for the hks turbo timers? or will a harness for a different car work? if not...has anyone ever spliced one in, for a h22? what wires need to be spliced into?

search is your friend..thats how i found out how to do my friends..its pretty easy no need to rig another cars harness even if its possible

He wanted to know which wires to splice into. The VAFC install page on the Apexi site shows where the RPM signal and Speed sensor wire are located on the ECU pinout. For the HKS type1 install youll have to splice into those 2 wires from the ECU. I made a thread a while back: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=795325

i gotta HKS turbo timer on my D17
is that any different for the H22?
Aren't you wiring it under your steering wheel near the ignition?

yeah a h22 is different because the wires are different colors i believe. i think i got it though.

youll find that those harnesses are only for factory turboed cars. they arent hard to splice in though.i have the HKS type 1 and only took me like 10 minutes

did you get a harness though? one for a different car and then splice from that?

You wouldnt need a harness if youre gonna be splicing wires. The harness is for factory turbo cars, so that you dont need to splice anything, just plug and play. But for hondas you have to splice wires since its not turbo from the factory. The install is pretty easy, just try it out.
