Default HKS turbo timers on a honda

is there a honda harness available for the hks turbo timers? or will a harness for a different car work? if not...has anyone ever spliced one in, for a h22? what wires need to be spliced into?

Check the apexi site, they have the ECU pinouts for the VAFC install.

He wanted to know which wires to splice into. The VAFC install page on the Apexi site shows where the RPM signal and Speed sensor wire are located on the ECU pinout. For the HKS type1 install youll have to splice into those 2 wires from the ECU. I made a thread a while back: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=795325

youll find that those harnesses are only for factory turboed cars. they arent hard to splice in though.i have the HKS type 1 and only took me like 10 minutes

did you get a harness though? one for a different car and then splice from that?

You wouldnt need a harness if youre gonna be splicing wires. The harness is for factory turbo cars, so that you dont need to splice anything, just plug and play. But for hondas you have to splice wires since its not turbo from the factory. The install is pretty easy, just try it out.
