HKS Turbo Kits?

HKS Turbo Kits?
I was wondering if HKS ever released the turbo kits for the 99-00 Si's they were showing. I was reading a magazine that had a special forced induction catalog that listed every bolt on kit made. One was an HKS that used there manifold obviously, a T25 ball bearing, Mini F-COM plus and was set for 7psi. This kit would be great for a street driven/road race car. Spool up would be incredibly quick and this would probably net you in the 190-200whp range. I would appreciate it if anyone had any info. The HKS site had nothing listed. TIA.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but I have a similar kit on my car. The kit I have is a GT25 ball-bearing with internal wastegate and the F-com mini. It was meant for a B16B, but I have it on my B18C. It is a japanese kit and I don't think it was ever sold over here. It sounds like the same thing that you are looking at. There was no intercooler in my kit, I am running an Apexi intercooler for an Eclipse. This kit was set for 7psi, but after pressure drop is making 5psi for me. I haven't heard if they are releasing it over here or not.

Don't you remember that old scc article that had the hks kits on a gsr and si and they were making like 180 at the wheels with a gsr (not sure what the si was), but to me that's not worth it. Just like i always tell you just get toda's, prolly about the same power when tuned. Later

That's a little better than 180whp. I'm not using the F-con though. I'm using a Techtom which is a lot like a Hondata. I think that made a big difference. I am about to turn the boost up. I guess will see if this little turbo can flow enough.

That article and I have one torn out from another magazine for the Si. Both were listed with a T25 (2nd gen. eclipse size) baby snail at 7psi. The si made 176whp. 38hp increase over stock on that little thing with only 7psi is pretty decent. Considering stock boost on an 2nd gen. eclipse is like 12.4-5 psi. Not to bad. Has potental. Like I said though it would be great for a street driver with some track (road not drag) duty. I know I could make that whp for the same price NA, probably cheaper...but turbos are just plain fun.

Custom = Headaches. Anyone can buy a manifold and turbo. I don't wanna deal with the little things. Who am I kidding anyways. I'll never go turbo.
