Default HKS SSQV versus HKS Racing Blowoff Valve Type II

I am shopping around for a blow off valve to complete my turbo setup. I have used the HKS SSQV blow off valve in the past an i really like it alot, but i am not sure if its right for my setup.

My power goals are 650+whp with a little room for more. I was just wondering is a single HKS SSQV can handle 600-750 whp?

also, is the HKS racing blowoff valve Type II good on a street car? how does it compare to the normal HKS SSQV unit?

heres a link to the HKS Racing BOV Type II: http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=759

BOV has nothing to do with HP

Any good BOV will be able to handle high PSI systems fine.

SSQV has the chirping sound and the new type II has the wooshing sound.
I'd go for tial's 50mm bov. SSQV has to many screws and parts. mine fell apart

ohh, ok. i just thought that the SSQV might not handle the high PSI and start to leak. At first i thought the SSQV would be fine but then i saw the HKS race BOV Type II so i thought it was for higher power applications

Like everything else that goes on a car, maybe you should have checked the screws.

have you actually seen how many screws the ssqv has? the ones that fell off where in the inside. i would expect it from ssautos cheap products but from hks? its not what i would expect from a $300 BOV.

my hks ssqv leaked when i boosted 1.8bar.
don't know, maybe mine's abit off, if you're gonna boost high it's better to go for the greddy type r or the hks racing. don't know about tial though

haha yea I've seen....I have one.

hoskos: Unless they are marketing the wrong product the ssqv can't leak under boost (given that it is in good working order). I'm having no problem with mine at all and it's been seeing 4 months so far of 15-20psi)
