HKS SSQ BOV Maintenance
Lately I have noticed that my HKS bov no longer has that whispy fluttering sound that would vary my my throttle and rpm. Instead its just a loud WHOOSH at any throttle and any rpm. I ws thinking maybe it was failing but then a buddy told me you need to clean them. I feel stupid for asking but can you clean em? is this somethin youre supposed to do ? Ive never heard of "cleanin" a BOV. Im gonna remove it today and inspect it for grime . Whats your opinon people? Is it breaking or dirty?

Re: HKS SSQ BOV Maintenance (Ch3mik)
is it a real HKS?
make sure the locking nut is tight on the adjustment bolt, if not it can vibrate itself out, causing it to loosen up the valve.
It can also get dirty after awhile, but usually only if you have oil in your charge pipes from a leaking compressor oil seal or where ever the source is.
