Default hks ssq bov adjusment...

I did a search and it didn't help.....How do you adjust these things?...do you just tighten or loosen the bolt in the back of the bov? And how do you know you have adjusted it just right?.....thanks in advance

Yeah, you loosen the locknut then you turn the bolt in the center of the back of the thing. It's really a matter or trial and error. Adjust it and listen to your turbo and if you hear compressor surge "cha sha sha" sound it's too tight. If it's blowing off all the damn time it's too loose. That's really it and there's nothing scientific about it.

yes that cha sha sha sound is air surge bouncing off the closed throttle plate and the compressor. its not good for your turbo. a well tuned bov should sound like a single gush or air or a single whistle of air. nothing like the cha sha sha sound.

Ive Adjusted mine over and over, and I still cant seem to get rid of compressor surge. Where did you guys route the vacuum line and which way makes the screw tighter/looser?

Are you sure you put the "filter" valve thingy inline correctly? It's only supposed to point in one direction. I think the istructions say which way it goes. If you're not sure you should try it flipped and see what happens. I "T-ed" into the vac line that goes from the intake manifold to the FPR.

If you back the bolt out it sets the valve at a lower opening pressure.
