HKS GT3240 , ID tag no's anyone ?
Hi all , been asked for the details of HKS's GT3240 BB turbo . From what I can find its a kind of cut down GT3540R , ie 54 trim comp instead of 56 trim on the 35R and the turbine appears to be a cropped GT35 turbine - down to 64 x 58.8mm . I suppose thats why its called GT32xx because its turbine dimensions are ~ GT32 turbine size .
The Evo crowd reckons it spools really well for a 580 Ps turbo but ultimately the turbine side runs out of flow before the compressors all in . I think HKS would have done better to have used a 50 or 52 trim version of the 82mm GT40 compressors . It would have spooled better and been more of a mid way between the GT30R and GT3540R , actually a smaller trim compressor on the GT3540R would help out too .
Anyhow the cartridge (CHRA) no of the GT3240 would be a help to me so if anyone has is can you tell me please .
Cheers Adrian .
