Default high whp stock engine with pump gas

who is makeing 300+whp with stock engine with pump gas 93octane if so whats your setup and what kinda timing and air/fuel & boost do you run to keep the engine from blowing to get over 300whp

i have seen the inline pro boys do it but all on 110cam2 gas with a thicker headgasket

on 93 octane with a 60-1, 550+ injectors, haltech/speed pro/or something similar, good fuel pump, and perfect tuning, i don't see why not. i'd say you could see closer to 400 to the wheels. who knows. but 300.....easy.

OT, but is Jennifer Williams the girl with the black DA? If so she doesn't have a stock bottom end. I talked to her and her crew for a long time this weekend.....I don't remember what pistons she's running, but I know she has Eagle rods and the block is sleeved(GE).

yah...I dont think Jen Williams is running stock bottom end. Though I have seen cars with stock bottom ends run 10s with an Inline Pro headgasket. Low 11s are easy.

for the record:

1. jen went 10's on a stock block.

2. jen now has a built block.

3. i have seen someone run 10.70's on a full interior, totally stock block, hatch

4. this thread was supposed to be about stock blocks and PUMP GAS. non of the above were achieved on pump gas.

I drive daily 320hp all the time. This is on the 91octane pee water we have.

I am not sure how much higher I can go on 91 though....

There is some SR20DET guys making over 400whp on pump gas (most likely 93 octane) with a big turbo and tuning. Im sure us honda kids can do the same sense we get better head...haha...i mean we have better heads (vtec baby).

I also know of a DSM making over 400whp on 93 octane with a green turbo.

When you guys with the inline pro gaskets are saying stock do you mean completely stock, i.e. stock rods and pistons, etc. ? or just stock sleeves?

im pretty close. at .85bar I made 274/237 and I run up to 1bar on pump gas. if anything im at 290 on 1 bar, very conservative tune. 300 is just right around the corner w/ my skunk 2 IM and some cold weather. pump gas stock motor. no vtec either hehe. 300 should be cake on a GSR w/ head gasket @ 1bar.

jinx..howmuch psi from a 60-1 do you think it would take to make 300-400 whp on stock block(on pump gas)?

i've seen a stock block with a t4/60-1 make over 360 hsp to the wheels on 15 lbs tuned rich. you should see more hsp than that if you were using 93 octane with the same amount of boost. like stan said, that type r made over 300 with only 11.5 and that wasn't even with engine management.
