Re: HIGH OCTANE (FullBoostAhead)
You've got the basic understanding... Octane resists burn, this helps prevent preignition and the like... 12lbs. of boost will increase cylinder pressure which in turn creates more power... I don't know what your setup is but it all in the end will rely on what is all done and the tuning... There's no set limit for how much you can boost on any grade of fuel or internal mods done... Typically with completely stock motors we'll run up to ~9lbs... With say pistons and rods 12-14lbs... Sleeved fully built motors 30lbs.+... Again these are just very general number, if you're only tuned to 9lbs right now, don't crank it up unless you're already tuned or planning on getting tuned higher... As for race gas, it'll probably range from ~$5-15 a gallon... Ours runs us about $8.00/gallon for the VP110 we run the Civic's... The VPNOS that Ralph runs in his Supra is ~$10.00/gallon at cost...
