Default ? for the high hp guys(400+)

What methods are you guys using to keep traction? What type of suspension setups, springs, struts, sway bars, etc; are you using?

My CRX setup:

JimFab traction bars
Camber set to -.7 deg on both wheels (extreemly important. 0 is most desirable for traction)
Skunk2 coilovers
Bilstein shortened struts up front
Koni Yellows in back (adjusted to hard at the track)
I will be using the Apexi boost controller with gear dependent boost control.
stock sway bars
205 Azenis on 15" Slipstreams

This setup did very well with my SC50 ZC setup, and should do well with my new SC61 B18C1 setup as well.

Skunk2 coilovers
Tokico shocks
Jim Fab cross member
Drag radials (daily driving)
Slicks (on the track)
Blitz SBC-iD

And a couple other things I have not bought yet.

My old set up was like this also, stock struts.shocks and Skunk2 coilovers, no camber kit or traction bars and best 60' of 1.67 , so it can be done, mostly low 1.7s before but a best of 1.67. I now have KYB AGX struts/shocks, Skunk2 camber kit and Skunk2 Drag Launch rear springs. Hopefully this set up will work well.

It's all about the slicks

Tire selection will always have the most effect on times.

Anyone like the Z10 bars for the 99-00 Si, since the jimfab doesnt fit, unless you get civic EX LCA's?

I've driven in my friend's Si with a Z-10 and he convinced me that traction bars do help alot. his tires break loose, but it keeps a steady pull compared to my car with no traction bars, tires break loose and stays in one place.

Lucky me that i drive a 99 DX, im going with the JimFab's once my money situations become stable

Do these Jim-Fab bars have any negative effects with autocrossing?
It might be better to have the jim-fab setup then poly motor mounts.

How do you guys have the skunk2 coilovers setup for drag racing? Do you jack up the back and drop the front? Are the firm enough to stop the car rocking back hard off the line?? I was thinking about getting some and using them with my koni yellows..

old set up:

-BFG G-force drag radial- 205/50/15
-Neuspeed Coilover- utilizes Neuspeed Race springs w/ Bilstein shocks(that are supposivly matched to the springs). lower 2" in front, and 1.5" in rear.
-ACT HD/SS SPRUNG clutch
-Z10 traction bars
-Proper Alignment

The set up worked great for what I was doing w/ it. Sprung clutches are the way to go for racing on street tires. They don't shock the tires near as hard as the puck clutches. The suspension I would reccomend for a daily driver but not for someone trying to run 10's. The rear was pretty stiff and there was not much weight transfer for me at least, but I think going faster then 12's you want something stiffer. Reason the front is lowered more then the back is to put more of the weight on the front of the car. I really think this works. Some people do, some people don't. my best 60' ever was actually run w/ out the use of the traction bars. Although, they definitly helped keep the 60's more consistant from day to day in different track conditions. Ive found that wheel hop is mostly caused by the tire and the suspension. Azenis and stock shocks= horrible wheel hop.

The new set up will be pretty similar to the old set up just kinda an evolution of it with attention to more detail. Going to a Wider/Taller tire, wider rim for more contact patch, light wieght coilover w/ 3-way adj. design and stiffer shocks/spring rates(especially in rear), sprung clutch that holds more power, and Jimfab bars instead of the Z10 to get rid of the suspension Binding problems from the Z10. Turbo XS Daul Stage MBC to run low boost in 1st/2nd. Id love the worlds unit, but im not that baller.......and of course, quaffe LSD to keep the power even at both wheels.
