HIGH BOOST JDM B16a converted to no-vtec
i have a b16a bottem end and want to convert from a previous vtec motor to a non-vtec motor (head on a friends cr-vtec all motor) ... i plan on running the 1.6 block with an ls crank and head ... also does anyone have any experiance with the rod situation , does it need modded or which rods to use ... planning on a full stock motor with high boost with very good tunning just to see if it works just for the hell of it ... info would help guys if you got it thanks

it can be done...but it's a waste of time. why not just get an ls and save yourself the trouble?!? you may experience oil leak problems from the oil ports on the vtec block and you'll have to drill the dowels on the vtec block to accept the pins on the ls head...or vice versa. my .02, just get an ls motor if you want the extra displacement and want to stay non-vtec.
