high boost = car cuts out?
alright , d16z6, t25 custom turbo setup hf mani etc.
when i push 5+ lbs of boost the engine cuts out, like it has hit fuelcutout or something when only at 5k and im WOT,
already checked the map sensor, swapped it w/ my friends who is running 8lbs daily on his b18b, not the map sensor cuz it still did it then.
He told me it may be the spark plug gap, i gapped them at .030 or 30 whatever, thbat could have changed though, and they are 1 step colder cuz i was running n02, and timing is retarded 2 - 4 degrees.
anyone gimme some help on why this is happening, 5lbs just isnt fun

The plug gap sounds fine, which NGK's are you running? The 3330's are good.
Are you running an FMU? You might have it installed 'backwards.' My friend had his hooked up backwards and he had similar problems that you are describing. If you are not running an FMU, then that probably is your problem. Also, 4 degree's retard is a bit too much. How much are you looking at boosting? I would set the timing back to stock until you fix your problem.

4 degrees retard is a bit too much to pull when only running 5lbs. try stock timing

My guess is either the FMU, and since you checked it and it was installed correctly, i just ruled that one out.
Do you have anything on the map sensor.....check valve or something to "fool" the map sensor.
any CEL's

Your spark isnt working at that boost level.... make the gap smaller on the plugs or get an MSD so the spark is stronger

I call bs on that.
A stock ignition will support 450+whp he's nowhere near that for one, and two his gap is already at .030 which Imo is already short. I run a .032 gap on mine at 10psi.
I can almost bet it's that he's runing to rich. My car did the same exact thing, would boost fine up to about 6psi then it would lose a lot of power almost like it's hit a brick wall. Leaned it out from 10.0:1 (or richer cause the o2 won't read richer then that) to 12.0: 1 and problem solved.
