Default HF or VX manifold for turbo?

I used to have a HF exhaust manifold but all I have left laying around for a turbo kit is a VX exhaust manifold....it looks like I "remember" the HF to look...am I wrong? Will the VX manifold work ok for a turbo manifold or should I go with the HF one?

im pretty sure the HF + adapter plate is ok for a turbo app.. the one with the 02 sensor bung up top.

Not sure on the VX mani, though.

I have an hf manifold. It's still attached to the motor which is in the car. I'm willing to pull it out and sell. I'll let you know when I'm ready. Accepting offers.

i've used both and there is really no difference...it seems that the VX positions the turbo a little bit lower than HF, and also eventhough i'm sure its false, the HF seemed to have larger diamter runners than the VX..but who knows, other than that they are both equally good manifolds.

i used a VX manifold on my turbo setup. It works fine. I match ported the runners to the head. I only had to open it up a tiny bit, maybe a mm or 2 on the sides. The runners seem like they flow well all the way thorugh. this is on a d16z6 btw

What turbo's bolt up to the hf mani? Where would i get an adapter plate? I have one (hf mani) laying around along with a little probe turbo (cracked though). I was going to see if i could rig up a kit for one of my friends.

will this method work on an hx manifold also?

right by the ac lines the manifold ends and hooks up to the cat. 5-wire o2 is in the top of the manifold also.
i'm kinda a Newb on the darkside so take it easy
