hf manifold--14b turbo adapter plate
somebody on ebay sells the adapter plate that bolts a T25 to a hf manifold, will this same adapter work to bolt my 14b to my hf manifold?

I believe it will work...on Homemadeturbo.com forums, i asked if the T25 had the same flange as the 14b, etc. Abaz said yes...so...yes

You have 2 different styles of adapter plates..
countersunk style..
The bolts come in from the top side, going down (just like gary & randys plates/dropshop)
Only problem here, is the seal is shitty as hell, exhaust can sneak through the allen heads of the countersunk bolts.
This is the bottom style, basically you have to put bolts on the bottom side going through the exhaust housing threading into the plate, this requires drilling out the factory threads, and grind the housing flush (so the head can sit nicely)

This is a little adapter article I did..
Also, here are a few guys plates (counter sunk style) that have had exhaust leaks,

Hope that helped,

oops as I forgot to say.. if it was the 2nd style plate, it really wouldnt work, since the 14b only has 3 access points.
But overall the T25/14b flange is the pretty much the same thing.

Re: hf manifold--14b turbo adapter plate (Tinker219)
ok so do you have the email of someone who sells the one that will work, if not, is it really that bad just to weld the turbo to the manifold itself?

Just a quick word of caution... Make sure something like this will work first.
I put a T25 on my 98 hatch with a D16Y8 (head and tranny swap), and used a STD manifold instead of the HF. It's a bit larger than the HF manifold and it flows better. I also used the O2 housing from the DSM since I didn't want the hassle of fabricating a complicated downpipe. Anyway, I did some test fitting with blocks of wood before purchasing a pre-made adapter plate and I'm glad I did. No way would one of these have worked. I ended up making my own. I had to start with a wedge shape that started at 1.75" thick and tapered to .75" thick in order to rotate the turbo away from the block.
