Default HELP!..ran my car at the track.. now missing in high rpms...

okay.. so i went to the track saturday and ran my car with 13lbs of boost on street tires.. i only got in 2 okay runs.. first run was to test out my tires and how i needed to run it.. first run i pulled off a 13.4@112 with a 2.4 60 .. ouch! then second run i did a 13.1@112 with a 2.2 60.. a lil better.. but the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th run i was having problems..

it seemed like after i shifted from 1st to 2nd on my 3rd run the car started to bog and lose power on me.. it would miss in high rpms and backfire.. when i shifted into 3rd gear power just died.. it shot out a huge black smoke and drove like it was in limp mode not letting me rev past 6k.. i pull to the side, check connections with map, tps, checked timing, ran my light and timing was where it should've been.. took it for a quick test drive and it felt okay minus it would miss two or three times around 6700-7400 rpms.. i did a check for a CEL, reseted my ecu, ran the car again.. same thing..

so i was thinking and ive been running about 15psi for about 2 months now.. i read in one of JFK's threads that if you run more then the stock map can read and the map doesnt read it, the map can take a **** on you.. well i was thinking that the map was starting to **** on me and the computer wasnt reading it quite yet but would still throw it in limp mode for a few mins.. well i came home, changed the map and ran it again.. same thing.. now im thinking maybe my distrib is starting to take a **** on me..? is that a possibility? the car drives normal, just in high rpm's it misses.. maybe the rotor, cap or something else is going out? can anyone help?

also i checked for blowby, checked my plugs for oil or it running lean, checked for blown HG.. nothing.. everything still checks out.. im running a z6 with apex'i turbo kit.. uberdata on 450 dsm.. anything else someone can think of? thanks ahead of time!

change your plugs to start... they can look fine but doesnt mean they are fine.

my car did something similar and my rotor had knicked the #1 pickup in the cap, and broke it, and the tach did the same ****, also i would check the ICM in the dizzy, and of course drop some plugs in and try a slightly closer gap
