Default help planning for d16y8 turbo kit

So I purchased a turbo kit from ebay w/ramhorn manifold and T3 .60 turbocharger and did some research on the forums and had a question..

Where do you run the vacuum lines from the blow off valve?

Also, I plan on running 8 psi from the .60 and was wanting to know if the oem clutch and fuel pump should be able to handle it.

My bov is T'd into the line going from the FPR to intake manifold.

Upgrade the clutch and fuel pump. They're basic, cheap mods that should be replaced anyways. Get a Walbro 255lph pump and new clutch.

Ok, to T the bov to a I/M line, so where does the wastegate vacuum go?

Thanks for the advice, I'll see how it does on 8lbs with 450 injectors if I even need to upgrade injectors for such low boost? I'm only looking for 200-220 whp.

Or would I just double T the wastegate and bov to the same line?

Boosting a y8 is brazen, the crank oiling system causes catastrophic bearing failure and potential oil pump failure. My y8 fell victim to this and it was stock.

Either get a z6 block and a y8 head

Or

Keep the y8 block, put the better z6 crank and oil pump on and use the y8 head

And y8 rods look like pencils (like all d series) so your safe power limit is in the 200-225 (at most) hp range.

Well obviously the single oiling port per journal is definitely an issue, at least in my eyes. ..pl

Porting the pump might help the issue as it will flow more oil volume vs psi

Have you gasket matched the pickup and the block entry and the pump outlet?..

Any pics?

Save yourself the time.
Do arp headstuds and walbro fuel pump.
And the question your asking are really basic.
Are you taking it to someone to tune it? Hopefully so.

Didn't know anything about that back when I put it together so the answer would be no. I bought it new from a guy that did the porting. I just slapped it on and that was that.

Building another D and all the things I missed the first time will be done this time. That would include a Z6 crank for the block.

I might build another d for giggles. I have a few sitting in storage, like d15s and one d14. That might be a fun small turbo autox car
