help me select a turbo (yes, another one of these topics)
Here is what I either already have, or is on the way:
STOCK B16A3
GSR tranny
ACT 6 puck clutch with Xtreme pressure plate
LoveFab SST mani
LoveFab 2.5 DP
29x8x2.75 Custom IC
I would love to hit the 300 whp mark, but thats just for novelty and braggin rights, so I am kinda rethinking it. I mean DSM 440's can be had for pretty damned cheap, whereas 550 - 720's run a lot more. I was going to run a T3 60/63/60 trim or a T3 60/48/60 trim(which will both be for sale shortly), but have decided to go with a T3/T04e 57 trim from none other than Mr. Paul Vang.
I cant decide between the .63 or the .48. I want something that will spool fast, i love responsive setups. I dont go to the track, I want something really streetable. However, I dont wanna end up spinning and never being able to hook up. Do you think the 48 will keep me from getting traction, or will it be alright?

Re: help me select a turbo (WebGeek)
.63 a/r would be a better choice. It wont take you too long to spool a t3/t4oe with the .63 a/r. You might be dissapointed with a .48 a/r because it will seem like it dies out on the top end, but it will spool up faster. For you I would recommend .63 a/r.

i know the variables are too many to come up with an exact answer, but how much faster would a 48 spool over a 63? I mean is it usually 500 rpms sooner, 1000, 1200?

Re: (WebGeek)
You're right by saying there are too many variables but I would guess somewhere from 1,000 to 1,500 rpm difference.
Now don't hold me to that answer, it was just an educated guess.
