help me pick up a turbo and other misc. parts
A little background about the car-
96 lx auto f22b2 (yes i know, but i have bigger and better plans farther down the line)
Going to replace ALL the gaskets
Timing belt and water pump are 2.5k new if that
2.7k on the new axles on both sides
New tranny fluid and cooler.
Plans-
I already have my manifold for the f22b2, but im not sure which turbo to run. I'm looking for about 220whp-250whp.
Fuel pump- should i just drop the tank and do a walbro in the tank or will the stock plus an inline be ok?
I already have- 310cc volvo injectors (what do i need to make them work)
intercooler
piping
Turbo xs BOV
Gauges
vacumm line
manual boost gauge
Haven't gotten oil lines because i dont know what turbo to get/ same with waste gate, im not sure which is better, internal or external.
going to get AEM FIC for my car to run this all.
Also, when doing my headgasket, i was going to install head studs.. arp h23 will work correct?
what am i missing too?

Re: help me pick up a turbo and other misc. parts (sony224422)
At 310Whp, you might be able to get away with the stock pump, but I would suggest an intank 190lph/lp walbro. There is no reason to go for a HP, and you probably shouldn't need the 225Lph capability either.
If you already have the manifold, then your turbo choice will be limited to turbos with the same flange. You'll have to let us know what flange is on the manifold, before we can give you any real guidance on the turbo. Also, does the manifold have a flange for an external wastegate? If not, then your turbo will need to be internally wastegated.
Hope that helps,
Craig

Re: help me pick up a turbo and other misc. parts (TunerToys)
ahh gotcha let me go check.
its also only 250 whp.. im limited by the automatic.. too much power and it'll blow.
also the manifold is a SFP F22B/F23 Turbo Manifold Jet Coated Black w/ Megan Racing EGT Gauge and this was the turbo that used to be attached to it. Borg Warner GM-8 Turbo rebuilt and balanced (.60 turbine/.70 Compressor.

For 250whp, that GM-8 is too big.
You have to remember that 250whp worth of exhaust gas is the same on a 1.6L as it is on a 3.0L. That said, you will want a turbo that can do 250whp no problem, but also support your 'future plans', assuming they are realistic.
I'd say get a 50trim t3/t04e with a .63ar exhaust. That would be good for 400whp in the future, but still spool fast with your 2.2L. You could get a 60trim if you're building an F/H/'G' 2.2L right now that will make 600whp on race gas, but I find that unlikely.
As for fuel, you need an ECU that can run something like Neptune, Hondata, or Crome, etc, and bigger injectors. I think accords came with the bigger fuel pumps, so there's the possibility it can deal with up to 300whp. But those 310's will barely do 225whp with a walbro at high pressure. Sell them to some NA nut, get 450's (better yet 750's if you have future plans), and get it tuned.
BTW all your questions have been answered individually all over the site a million times, the search button will get you answers in a fraction of the time.

i have searched, i searched more last night.. but new info always helps besides i wasn't sure.
Because for one thing.. i might actually do a h22 head on my car at some point if i ever feel like it, and a 5spd swap along with it. I have an apexi wsp2 that i will be running, with a high flow cat for exhaust. The turbo size idk about because if i ever do a headswap, i wouldn't really mind getting a new turbo since i'd need a new manifold anyways.
Also, the reason i said AEM FIC for FMU is because i have to stay obd2 in CT for emissions, or registration gets pulled. I want a turbo that will spool and make good power, but im going to be limited by redline at like 6750 i beleive, it might even be lower than that- 6500.

Re: help me pick up a turbo and other misc. parts (sony224422)
i think im going to go with the 50 trim although someone recommended a 57 trim.
also, if i use AEM's FIC will my car run without a tune with bigger injectors and such?

im going to update this a little.
so far i have picked up a .60 trim .63hotside garret turbo
intercooler, piping and BOV
and im looking to get
880cc saturated injectors
AEM F/IC (for obd 2)
38mm wastegate
oil lines
wideband o2 sensor
downpipe..
is there anything i am missing? and is that turbo going to be too big for me to spool with my stock f22b1?
