I am trying to determine what turbo would best fit my set up and hp goals. I picked up a civic hatch in a trade that needs to be finished up and it came with a sc34. I have a gt30r on the shelf and I cant decide which one I should use. Both turbos are ball bearing and I have everything I need to make either of them work so that isn’t a deciding factor. My Hp goal is 400. The motor is a Lsvtec 9:1 compression ls block and crank type r head blah blah nothing much special or out of the ordinary. Peakboost ramhorn turbo kit 38 mm wg. I am planning in doing dual stage boost control so that I can keep the set up on low boost most of the time (I plan on driving this car not have it sit in the garage until its time to go to the track) and jack it up when I want to have some fun or go to the strip. I know both turbos are capable of the hp goals I have I guess what I am really not sure about is will there be a difference with them daily driving, will one lag more than the other things like that I am not really sure about. Stick with your GT30R. Sell the SC34 and use the money for the water line kit.

I agree with TheShodan, if you already have a GT30R. That turbo will easily produce the power your shooting for efficiently.

high hp isnt reall my concern i am more worried about daily drivability.... do you still stick to the gt30r recomendation?
