Hmm, I understand alot of ppl like stock ITR/CTR cams for boost but surly there will be a gain from aftermarket cams. Theshodan highly suggested GSC T1's and I've seen ppl with similar builds using them, the thing that drew me towards the pro 1's is the fact of my 11:1 C/R I figured the pro1's would go well with that. But i'll settle on the GSC T1's thanks for the responces

Cams like that are for like, 600+ hp builds. Itr cams will make over 500hp from what ive seen.
Youre shooting for sub 400hp. Stock cams will do that without breaking a sweat. Save yourself the money and upgrade something else
Gringo (myles) is running t1 cams and his cars making 827hp.
You dont need cams that will make 827hp

That is a 600+hp turbo, he only wants to make 350....
Sure it might be a great turbo, but it is going to be laggy as hell on a lower power time attack car.
Whereas a GT2871 will give almost-instant power and will be much quicker in an on-off-on throttle application.

Looks like this build could be better optimized dollar for dollar. At your power level the Skunk2 Ultra street and bigger throttle body was a waste of money just like cams would be. Should have put that cash into a built short block and you would be way ahead of the game.
You can take the stock B18CR head, intake and throttle body put it on a built shortblock and pretty much max out that 5858 if you wanted to. I am surprised the Shodan didn't steer you towards a TR3030R.

What, because we're honest with people? Or because we tell people what they might not want to hear, but need to? Or because we're more likely to hop on a negative bandwagon against a company that has a negative track record?

You must be really picking and choosing what threads you're reading, then. The two threads I have personally created in this section have both been met positively, and a large number of other threads that I have participated in have been positive.

I'll admit I did kind of just buy parts but I did have the power goal from the start, I'm sure I can hit it with the current set up(counting those cams). But there's still lots of time till may(when our season starts), so far what I have listed I've bought in just over a month. I do want to keep the 5858. Anything higher then 400whp starts to get over kill for the tracks we run on and I'd surly get bumped into a higher class. this is my first time building a FI Honda the last few were all motor.

I boosted my stock B18CR. @300whp it was very fun and ran high 11's. I eventually cracked a ringland due to an injector being 8% clogged. Time attack is way harder on your car than drag racing. I didn't mean to come across like a ahole, I would just really like to see a good piston rod combo in this build so that it will last and you could see the full potential of that turbo.

Damn.. I'm running faster then those times on just motor lolol..
Std shelf cam would be more then enough. A stage 1 type camshaft would do more then enough for you.
