Help me find some coolant fittings for my turbo!
This is getting ridiculous! I have been looking for these fittings now for over a year! I keep searching and then give up, searching and giving up...
I have gone to many Home Depots, ACE Hardware stores, various tuning shops, and even a professional pipe fitting supply store with so success!
I am looking for the fittings that fit into the water jacket of my turbo so I can run some coolant lines... seems pretty easy and basic but I guess not. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place...
Here's the turbo I have... -----> T3 60 Trim .48/.60
Last week I even ordered some fittings from ATP turbo and paid over $40 with shipping for the two of them.... these are the ones I bought...
On ATP Turbo is says that these fittings fit the GT25R/GT28R/GT30R/GT35R turbos... I know I don't have one of those but I assumed it would fit...
I was sooo excited when they arrived at my house yesterday.... I thought the search was finally over... but then I go out to the garage to make sure they fit and they are too small!
Great... so I just wasted $40 on some fittings I can't even use...
Is there anyone on this board with the same turbo that I have who has run coolant lines? If so, where did you find these fittings?
Do you guys have any other suggestions as to where I should look?
Thanks!

I believe the thread size is 5/8" NPT
Mine is the t3 60-1 water-cooled
I purchased the fittings from home-depot
What you have in the picture is probably for the oil feed...actually they look like the fittings from the tial wastegate.

I think you pm'd me about getting the ones that came with my T3 .60/.63 a while ago. Well I decided to not water cool and there still brand new, screwd em in with teflon tape but theyve never been heated, there not the banjo fittings though, just a normal fitting with a nipple
Maybe it wasnt you that pm'd me, I dunno, I read that they are a size that is not made for general ****

Re: Help me find some coolant fittings for my turbo! (GaRn)
I am so sick of looking for these stupid fittings!
Does any one know what car my turbo originally came on? If I figure that out, I might be able to buy the fittings from a dealership or find some at a junk yard...
I think my turbo came from a Ford Thunderbird Turbo, but I'm not sure... how can I find out for sure?
I guess the next stage of my search will include going to every junk yard in the Portland area... shouldn't take me more than a month or so if I go to a few every Saturday morning... what a PITA!

I had pics on WTDR and you replied and pm'd me about getting them off of me. Since then I just took the housings off the turbo and put then on my good center section. Just cant seem to find (looked for about 8 seconds) the rebuilt center cartridge
Ill find it though, I dont even care about the money, just because Im in Canada, having some crisp $1's would be pretty cool

Shoot Flamenco-T a PM. He is a good guy and will know what you need. I placed a good sized order with him last week.

I need some too, I bought a ghetto *** looking brass elbow from a hardware store, hardly automotive quality. it works but i need something else. And it must be 90' to clear the front and back

Re: Help me find some coolant fittings for my turbo! (turboteg2nv)
I ended up using some straight brass fittings that I found at a hardware store... they don't fit perfect but they are holding and haven't leaked yet...
I would much rather have nice banjo fittings that point down... but I guess if it works, it works....

Re: (b20turbojason)
On my 48/60 I used 3/8 pipe thread to 3/8 barb. This allowed me to attach -6 stainless line to the 3/8 barb. Be careful with the straight fittings and stainless line on the 88-91's as the stainless doesn't make very sharp bends, and if it touches your radiator you'll be buying a new one shortly after. Try 3/8 pipe thread to 3/8 barb in a 90 degree in that situation.

The fitting is most likely a 16 x 1.5 mm type. Hard to find - went to a hydraulic shop and they made my hoses for me - $35 for both. Make sure you tell them what temps you will be seeing.
