Default help me decide... build up my current motor or a dohc one...

well, theres a large job opening at a local computer factory (assembly line) and if i apply i will have a 99.9% chance of starting work next week. there is a lot of overtime so supposedly i will be making $500 minimum a week. although i have barely explored my greddy turbo on my stock motor, i need to decide soon whether i should build up my current motor or build up a dohc one... (most likely a b18c.)

i am not too impressed with dyno #s that dual cam hondas put out... after looking at vtc_civic's dyno sheet, it seems that a sohc motor can easily compete w/ a b18c turbo at the same psi.

i kind of want to be original and have an insane sohc motor... but dohc's seem to be more tunable.

pros? cons?

i know this topic has been beaten to death... so if you dont have anything good to say, dont.

no offense............but to really go fast, realistically, you want a dohc. i'm not hating sohc, but i think this has been covered. i'm talking fast. not 13's.

i had a civic before with the ls vtec n/a setup. that thing hauled ***!! once you go DOHC youll never go back. id say go for the DOHC, plus there would be less down time since you can build your DOHC motor on the side while youre driving around in the single cam one.
