HELP...Jumpy Tach!? No fuel, car won't move!
Hey, just as the title states. The tach jumps around wildly, car will stall if the tach hits below idle point while driving. It has gotten steadily worse. First tach went crazy, then car had trouble accelerating, now I can't even start the car without it turning right back off. Also when I was driving it home, noticed that the exhaust changed frequencies often. Sometimes making a spuddering sound, and other times flowing smoothly. Also I noticed that the usual deposites on the inside of my exhaust are no longer there (ie black soot from running a little rich) what could this be? Here is a list of my mods:
Drag 3 turbo kit
Tial 35mm wg
JE 81mm pistons
Eagle rods
RC 550 injectors
AEM FPR
AEM Fuel Rail
Hondata 2b (p28 ecu)
not tuned yet
Your input is greatly appreciated, the sooner the better. Thx

I'm going with ignitor in the distributor...or possibly your alternator (causes jumpy tach). are you throwing a CEL?

check the ignitor ground cable on the top part of the thermostat housing....
when the ground cable is loose or not have a good contact, it'll do what you just described.

Its the ignitor. Check the leads to make sure that they are secure first. Then if that doesnt help then just replace..
