Default HELP!!! im getting to many suggestions about bearing colors!! PINK PINK PINK (did mild search)

have eagle rods: eagle told me to use all PINK rod bearings - ive never heard this!

spark racing said they always build motors with pink. ive also hear do it by factory stecs as if the rods were stampd #3

around here ( ga ) alot of ppl use all greens!!!!

so what is it, is their advantages to using pink over green or factory over green or pink...

bottom line...i only wanna do this once!!!!

if you only wanna do it once, like I said over IM's...do it right.
Use # 2 for the eagle rods, then cross reference it with your marking on your crank.

Every crank is different, so you wanna treat it differently. If Spark uses all pink, then thay may be an indication that they only go for the loosest clearance. I don't and will not go for that kind of checking clearances. I checked all the code on the rod and the crank, cross reference it with the helms and work from there. that just seems kinda half *** to me..personal IMO..
The only universal one size bearings that works well with honda is ACL and that is if your color chart in the middle such as green, yellow and brown. Pink and black are the loosest and the tightest, you may be on the edge of the service specs...

-Always Plastigauge everything.
-Double check your codes (rod cap and crank)
-Make sure your clearance are somewhere in the middle .0015 ish for GS-R or .0013 for LS ( I think ) if it's leaning towards looser or tighter side, you may want to go half size, for example if your color coded green, then you may wanna go green and brown for that journal.

if you do all of the above, I guarantee unless you have no oil, you'll have a long lasting motor..

Horayyyyyy for proper engine building practices! Use the same bearings on ALL motors! yayyyyy.... Im kidding. listen to flamenco-t, get your bearings based off the code that is supplied w/ the rod and the code on the crank and cross reference it in helms...
