Default Help with Autometer Air fuel ratio gauge

finally got my Autometer Air/fuel ratio gauge set up in the car, can someone please tell me what kind of readings im looking for:

At idle?
at cruising?
At WOT?

how many L.E.D's should i have lighting up??

somone please help cos i wanna make sure my car is running right before i crank up the boost

you will get all sorts of readings. autometer a/f = poop

that gauge looks like a christmas tree. very pretty in the dark. it keeps my passengers quiet and happy

Its really the O2 sensor thats 'poop'. Although its not too bad for what it is designed to do. It is not meant to give accurate readings across the entire range of excess oxygen. NO a/f guage is going to give you accurate readings across the board while using the stock O2 sensor as it is inherently inaccurate.

An a/f guage running of the stock O2 will tell you if you are lean or rich. nothing more. This is still usefull information.

yes, it is somewhat accurate at WOT. but I wouldn't really trust that gauge to do any kind of tuning. i believe it's just a waste of money.

Yeah, I wouldnt do any real tuning with it, but I do think its nice to have some sort of indication that things are 'OK' for instance if you have fuel problems, and it goes real lean, you can see that and rectify the problem hopefully before you damage something.

As for a waste of money, I dunno. Compare it to the cost of an EGT. Tells you basically the same thing, and I know I wouldnt drive a FI car without at least one of those installed.
