help on 99 civic turbo
i Just bought a 99 civic ex turbo charged it has a d16y8 and i am just trying to find some answers on here. I dont know a whole lot about turboed cars so i am trying to learn as much as i can. First prob is when i get on it real hard and let off the gas it has white smoke coming out the exhaust i think my turbo seals are bad cause i took the intercooler off and there was oil in it. And what psi is it safe to run on that stock motor? Any input and answers would be great! Thanks.

Re: help on 99 civic turbo (99civicman)
white smoke?? sounds like coolant burning off to me...
PSI doesn't matter ( your tuner will know when to stop pushing it ), is the car tuned??? if not, take it to a tuner and get it tuned if its not to late.
good luck

no its not a junk engine it runs great and dont have any problems over heating. What color would the smoke be if it was buring oil like that and what could some things be to cause it to burn coolant?
